Community Service

Every semester the brothers of the Pittsburgh Chapter strive to complete as many hours of community service as possible. We do small events from Adopt-A-Block to larger events like Pitt Make A Difference Day. We love the community we live in and love to try and keep it clean all year round. Every semester we also have a brotherhood retreat to a YMCA camp, Deer Valley in the Fall and Kon-o-Kwee in the Spring. We are allowed to enjoy a weekend off from our daily lives at college and get a chance to clean up a camp for kids, and when we are not cleaning, we happily enjoy the fun times that we have in a brotherhood of a lifetime.

Philanthropy

The V Foundation

The V Foundation is Delta Chi's official philanthropic organization. All undergraduate and alumnus members of The Delta Chi Fraternity have joined hands in fighting cancer together. Each year, Delta Chi chapters and colonies raise tens of thousands of dollars for international and local charitable organizations. It is the hope of Delta Chi that if all chapters unite their services and resources to benefit a single organization, Delta Chi can make a greater impact on that organization. For more information, please visit The V Foundation and Delta Chi Philanthropy Page.

University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute

Another philanthropic organization that this chapter donates to is the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute. UPCI is the Greek system's perferred philanthropic organization. To date, the University's Greek system has raised over $500,000. UPCI maintains a broad strategic vision and comprehensive approach to understanding and defeating cancer.
